Intermediate (baseball)

Intermediate division is for 13-year old players and is set up to help transition players to the longer pitching distances and basepaths they will experience in high school and beyond. The games are played on a 50/70 field (50 foot pitching distance with 70 foot base paths). At AOR, this is Stadium field (see map at entrance to complex at Lake Otis and O'Malley roads). Depending on the number of players interested, AOR will field 1 to 3 Intermediate teams, who play both inter-league and intra-league games in Anchorage, Palmer, Kenai and Soldotna.  Exceptions for 12-year old players can be discussed with the Intermediate VP.

Teams are formed in late April or early May.  The regular season runs from mid-May to late June.  All-Star season runs from late June to potentially early August, depending on how far the team advances.
